Job Description

We’re looking for an incredible, kid-loving, Jesus-following, ministry-minded individual to serve as the next Children’s Ministry Director at Mountain Creek Baptist Church!

At MCBC, we believe that Children’s Ministry is vital in our church’s mission, and we’re looking for someone to lead the children’s ministry by:

Intentionally Investing in Children

• We’re looking for someone to invest her or his life relationally in the children of MCBC, having fun with them while also pointing them to Jesus!
• We need someone who can provide both big-picture leadership and everyday leadership, overseeing a Children’s Ministry that places an emphasis on biblical literacy and spiritual foundations, while also teaching and interacting with the kids in both small groups and a one-on-one basis.
• We love celebrating! We’re looking for someone who will celebrate important milestones with kids and leverage these milestones as spiritual markers in their lives.

Partnering with Parents

• Parents matter! We believe that parents have been entrusted with the role of being the primary disciplers of their children. The Children’s Ministry Director we’re looking for will be able to build relationships with parents and develop a plan for equipping and encouraging them in their God-given role.

Developing Leaders

• We’ve got a great team! We need someone to help us continue to help our volunteers love and serve the kids at MCBC through child safety training and ministry equipping and resourcing.

Cultivating the Right Environment

• We believe the environment matters too! We’re seeking a candidate who wants to create a welcoming, engaging, and safe kid-friendly environment where children both learn about Jesus and desire to bring their friends!
