Position Overview:
Edgesource is seeking a highly skilled and experienced  Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team. This position requires extensive knowledge of the government contracts field and involves the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts and subcontracts. The successful candidate will ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. This role can support a hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days being performed onsite at our corporate offices in Alexandria, VA or fully remote if not local to the Northern VA area.


Job Duties:

  • Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.
  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretation of terms and conditions.
  • Represent the organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects.
  • Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
  • Ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
  • Support commercial work as well as complex efforts including Firm Fixed Price (FFP) defined delivery efforts.
  • Prepare proposals; negotiate and administer various contracts, including Cost Reimbursable (CR), Time and Materials (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and multiple Task Order contracts.
  • Develop, negotiate, and administer teaming agreements and proprietary information agreements.
  • Collect and submit data for regulatory reporting; manage Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) Plans.
  • Maintain corporate and subcontractor representations and certifications.
  • Review and analyze customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to understand Statements of Work (SOW)/contract requirements and advise the program team on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Ensure company proposals are fully responsive to prospective customer requirements, prepare proposal submittal documents, and coordinate appropriate levels of internal review and approval.
  • Manage fact-finding, evaluation notices, and negotiations between customers and the program team.
  • Maintain historical information through the closeout process.
  • Interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen who is eligible and wiling to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • 5+ years of industry experience with Federal Government Contracting, specifically DoD, IC, and Civilian Agencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in safeguarding confidential or sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision and be persistent in follow-through.
  • Must be organized, including attention to detail while also demonstrating strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage shifting priorities.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships with peers, suppliers, and customers, and contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
  • Working knowledge of FAR and DFAR.


Desired Qualifications (NOT REQUIRED):

  • Possess an active security clearance.
  • Advanced degree, certifications, or training in related fields.
