How You Will Make an Impact:

Atlas Sand is in search of a Compliance Specialist, Transportation for our expanding Health and Safety Team. This role will manage all aspects of DOT compliance. This role is based in West Texas and reports to the Compliance Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct periodic audits of driver logs, driver qualification files, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Coordinate annual DOT driver compliance evaluations and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation for the company.
  • Compile and update all necessary documents for company vehicles to ensure adherence to DOT, state, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Support or lead cross-functional teams in developing action plans for addressing internal and external inspections, audit findings, and other safety concerns.
  • Track, verify, and ensure quality assurance/quality control of all assigned compliance-related action items.
  • Stay updated on DOT regulations, including record-keeping, contractor qualifications, and motor vehicle reports.
    Ensure that all CDL holders meet current regulatory requirements and maintain their qualifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years recent and industrial experience with an expertise in DOT Compliance
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct, and other Company policies and procedures, and take all required training courses
  • Strong oral, written, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • One year accident/injury free driving experience
  • Recent and extensive transportation experience, including handling claims and ensuring compliance with DOT standards.
  • Stand-up training experience, particularly in classroom or tailgate settings, delivering effective compliance and safety training to employees.
  • Experience with compliance management tools such as Teenstreet, Samsara and Fleeto

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting compliance documents, regulatory data, and audit results.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Email).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing DOT compliance issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and management..
