We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to our legal team and ensure the smooth operation of our legal processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for law and strong administrative skills.

Lawvex is a five-attorney, tech-forward law firm with offices in the cities of Clovis, Madera, and Solvang in sunny central California. We are a business, real estate, and trust and estates firm that is on track for aggressive growth and we need a rockstar Legal Assistant to join our amazing team and work directly with attorneys and staff to help our clients with their legal needs.

We love to help people learn and grow. But we don’t have the time for that right now. We need a legal assistant who can hit the ground running but also embrace our values. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand holding.

We have multiple members on our team who are not assigned to a particular attorney but instead work within one or two niche practice areas such as probate, estate planning, litigation, trust administration, business or evictions. This facilitates deep expertise which results in systems and processes to make work easier, more efficient and reduce errors.

What our legal assistants do:

  • Phone and in person reception at our office in Madera.
  • Schedules client meetings / calls on existing cases.
  • Schedules our Client Coordinator for new cases.
  • Receives incoming correspondence and court documents, sorts, scans and uploads to proper file.
  • Prepares and sends hard copy correspondence, certified mail, overnight mail.
  • Must be well spoken, professional image, sales experience a plus, sales skills required.
  • Client service, sales and phone skills are more important than the legal assistant skills of scanning and uploading documents.

This is a part-time position, days to be worked will be agreed upon. This position is in-person at our Madera office, no option for remote or hybrid.
