Job Description



We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Broadband Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of broadband and smart technology strategies, working closely with stakeholders to deliver innovative and actionable solutions. This position is ideal for a professional with extensive experience in broadband planning and technology integration who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about making a tangible impact in communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consulting and Analysis:
    • Provide expert guidance on broadband and smart city planning projects
    • Conduct thorough research and analysis to develop practical recommendations and roadmaps
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with community leaders, government officials, utilities, and other stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities
    • Build strong relationships to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Project Management:
    • Support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results
    • Contribute to project planning, design, and implementation processes
  • Business Development Support:
    • Develop content for consulting proposals and presentations
    • Identify opportunities for growth and innovation in broadband and smart city initiatives
  • Process Improvement:
    • Assist in establishing and refining best practices and tools to enhance team productivity

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Telecommunications, Public Policy, Economic Development, Urban Planning, Information Technology, or a related field plus ten (10) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Professional experience in broadband planning, smart technology integration, or related fields
  • Professional experience developing strategies and actionable plans for broadband and smart city initiatives

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced degree in Telecommunications, Public Policy, Economic Development, or related field is preferred
  • A master's degree is preferred and can strengthen the candidate's

    qualifications

    (e.g., Telecommunications, Public Policy, Economic Development, or related fields)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and deliver results
  • Experience in GIS tools, broadband infrastructure design, or related technical areas
  • Familiarity with community-driven technology and workforce development initiatives
  • Knowledge of funding mechanisms and grant programs for broadband deployment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively
