Job Title: Social Media & Influencer Director
About the Role:
We're looking for a seasoned Social Media & Influencer Director to elevate our brand's online presence, drive awareness, and boost engagement across key social platforms. As a strategic and creative leader, you'll develop and execute data-driven social media strategies, oversee dynamic content creation, and work cross-functionally to deliver impactful messaging. In this role, you'll report directly to the VP of Marketing, overseeing both Professional and Direct-to-Consumer channels.
Work Environment: This role offers a hybrid schedule, with three days onsite and two days remote. Tuesday and Wednesday are core days, with flexibility for the third in-office day.
Compensation: $143,000+
Bonus Eligibility: 10% annual performance-based bonus
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
Design and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand and marketing goals for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Pinterest—spanning both Professional and Direct-to-Consumer channels.
Campaign Management:
Plan, execute, and optimize campaigns that drive engagement, expand our follower base, and build brand awareness.
Community Engagement:
Oversee community management, responding to audience engagement, managing online reputation, and fostering a positive presence across social channels.
Content Oversight:
Lead the planning, creation, and scheduling of content to ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and visual style across platforms.
Influencer & Partnership Management:
Develop and manage influencer and partnership strategies to extend reach and enhance brand credibility. Utilize influencer platforms to grow our network, drive engagement, and enrich content.
Trend Analysis:
Stay up-to-date on social media trends, tools, and best practices, proactively suggesting fresh approaches and strategies.
Budget Management:
Oversee the social media budget, including ad spend, subscriptions, and partnerships, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of three Managers and one Coordinator, offering guidance on content strategy, brand voice, and best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with teams across marketing, PR, product, and creative departments to ensure cohesive brand messaging and support for larger campaigns and launches.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track key performance metrics, generate insights, and provide recommendations to refine strategy and demonstrate ROI.
Qualifications
Experience:
7+ years of experience in social media marketing, ideally within the Beauty or Fashion industry
3+ years in a leadership role managing a social media team
Education:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Skills:
Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Dash Hudson, Aspire)
In-depth knowledge of major social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging channels
Strong passion for content creation, brand storytelling, and audience engagement
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
Analytical mindset, with a focus on data-driven strategy and insights
Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
