Dental Office Insurance Coordinator

We are a fantastic dental office that seeks to provide the highest level of dentistry to each one of our patients. We know that we are an office that is exceptional due to the team that stands behind us. Our goal is to change the way people feel about going to the dentist. We are looking for an exceptional Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team!

Our ideal Dental Insurance Coordinator:

• Has excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with both patients and team members
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, procedures, and coding (CPT, ICD-10, and ADA codes)
• Proficiency with dental practice management software and electronic claims submission
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Has a positive, open, & energetic personality willing to receive feed back

Essential Job Functions:

• Verify patients' insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments
• Submit and process dental insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner
• Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and appeals to ensure prompt resolution
• Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and team members to resolve any discrepancies or issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient insurance records in the practice management software
• Assist patients with insurance-related questions and concerns
• Coordinate pre-authorizations and referrals as needed
• Stay informed about changes in dental insurance policies and procedures

Dental Insurance Coordinator experience: 

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in dental insurance billing and claim processing
• Customer service: 1 year
• Computer knowledge: 1 year

 Job Type: 

• Remote
• Part Time (20 hours per week)

Pay: 

• Hourly – rate determined on skills and/or qualifications
