Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Paralegal to join this team of mesothelioma lawyers. In this role, you will support attorneys in handling asbestos-related claims, including research, document preparation, and client communication. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone new to the legal field who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those affected by asbestos exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, discovery requests, and trial exhibits
• Conduct research on asbestos exposure cases and mesothelioma claims, gathering and analyzing evidence related to client cases
• Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and readily accessible
• Communicate with clients, providing updates and answering questions about their cases
• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials
• Draft correspondence and case summaries as directed by attorneys
• Perform other administrative tasks, such as scheduling, filing, and billing as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field, or a paralegal certificate; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Ideally, 1-2 years of Paralegal experience 
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Prior experience in a law firm or with asbestos/mesothelioma cases is a plus, but not required

• Direct hire, full time
• Monday - Friday 9a - 5p
• Pay- Depending on experience, starting at $42k
